PUSH CART PRIZE NOMINATIONS

Just in time for the deadline (even though we decided on these a few months back anyway). All of Barge Press’ nominations for this year’s Pushcart Prize come from #1. Sure, we only had one issue this year, but it gave us more than plenty great pieces to choose from. So because people like to see their names mentioned, here you have our nominations for the Pushcart, as well as our two Barka Award winners (the pieces we felt best exemplified Barge-ness)

UPDATES

First of all, thank you so much to everyone who made it out for our release party on Saturday. It was a fantastic time with a phenomenal turnout. Especially thanks to the bands (Expensive Shit, Trogpite, Raw Blow, and ELQ), the DJ’s (Harry Lurker, Matt McDermott) and, as always, our lovely de facto mascot Daddy the Clown. Does anyone have pictures? Please post em.
